Most Radical Stories Ever Coming Out Of Sierra Leone!

We had a speaker her that was teaching us how to use simple church planting in reaching the unreached and he had wild testimonies of some of the things they are seeing happen in the nations. For example, in Sierra Leone, he shared how a simple house church was started five years ago and now 1000 other simple house churches can be traced back to to one church in some way. Obviously not every one of them had a direct line to it but from one person from that church starting another house church and then another person from that church starting another one and on then on and on it really started a movement. They said in one village in particular a new believer went to share the Gospel. While there the chiefs wife died. This believer asked if they could bring the body in the middle of the village and pray for her to be raised from the dead. He consented and do they did and prayed all evening for her. Just when the chief decided it was of no use for them to carry on she sat up disillusioned asking what happened. Needless to say, following this everyone came to know Jesus and house churches were started to disciple them. The wildest thing to me about these stories was not actually the stories themselves. I hear these things more frequent than most. The thing that blew me out of the water was that there was a guy in our class who had just been to Sierra Leone and visited this village as well as other parts of the country and he shared with us that everything the guy was teaching us was true. He even shared that the whole tribe was following Jesus because of that woman being raised from the dead. He said it was the wildest things he has ever experienced in his life seeing all God is doing there. I don’t know why, but this broke the numbness and any skepticism I often feel when hear these type stories and made it so much more real to us. Jesus said it himself before the ascension, “You will see even greater things than I have done.” God is still moving just as He did in the bible. Amen!
