Healings All Around
During our time in Zanzibar we were able to witness a few healings that were pretty stinking cool. At the time it is hard to believe when it happens but I guess we shouldn’t be surprised that God’s word is actually true right? One of my favorites was when a one of our Rasta friends named Nesto was healed of Malaria. Nesto became interested in our groups of friends when one of our teammates, Lukas, who also used to be a Rasta, met him and shared his testimony with him. Nesto was very intrigued and began reading the Bible with us often. After a few weeks we didn’t see Nesto anymore and didn’t know what had happened. It was then that I ran into him randomly on the street and he shared with me that he had gotten malaria. He looked awful and asked if I could tell Lukas to come visit him? The next day Lukas went to check on him and ended up praying for his healing. At that same point Nesto said he felt something go through his body and began to cry. It was then that all of the sudden he was able to get up without any of the aches or pains from his sickness and it was all gone. He had been healed of malaria. Needless to say, he was pretty excited. This is just one of a handful of healing testimonies God blessed us to be able to experience during our time. We also saw one of our friends hips get healed and a baby’s rash taken away. God is so good.
