Zomo and Utandele’s story is a testimony to how God is working through Baby Safe. Zomo is a woman who chose life for her child and is now a commited minister of love and hope to other women in crisis. I love Zomo and Utandele so much and am happy to spend much of my week with them. However, our visits have been a little more challenging as Zomo has been in the hospital with Utandele for over a week now because of an unidentifiable 'stomach infection'. I have been encouraged by Zomo’s peace and strength as I have been to the hospital to visit them, but know she is exhausted and in need of answers about her child’s condition. In addition to Utandele’s sickness Zomo is also suffering from other unexplainable symptoms. Due to the slow and unhelpful nature of the healthcare they are now receiving, myself and the other girls are pitching together to send Zomo to a private practitioner. We are happy to help our friend in her personal time of need but at this point are unable to do much in the way of another option for Utandele. Please pray for favor, that Utandele would receive the attention of the doctors she needs or/and that God would miraculously heal her.
Meehan Nicole! I love you, kiddo! Thinking of you, heard you weren't feeling well and am praying for the Spirit of the Lord to quicken your mortal body and raise you up. Blessings to you both and heartfelt hugs right now! Miss you and can't wait to see you. I'm just now starting to plan my trip to SA in May of 2011. I will be in touch soon. A really good friend of mine who is the General Manager of the Cape Grace Hotel in CPT has offered me four free (or as many as I can take!!) nights there so my plan is to be with you for a couple of days and perhaps see and work along side you in Baby Safe for the time I'm there. Would that be okay? Do you know if you will be in Cape Town for the month of May? Let me know what you can. I have a lot to plan and want to make sure we connect.
ReplyDeleteA BIG HUG to both you and Dan!
His grace is sufficient! May Jesus be VERY NEAR to you this day! xoxoxo Aunt Sue
