This week’s focus: Teaching on The Great Commission.
Our group: 5 girls and 1 boy.
Our personal goals: To connect with individual students outside of class & help bring revelation about who the true God is and what he calls us to do!
A Note about today:
The fog of England, in the middle of the country, surrounds us and the nearest town takes 45 minutes by foot. The quiet weekend was bitter sweet but gave us plenty of time to prepare for the week ahead. Our time here will be significantly different than our week in Switzerland but we are equally excited about what God wants to do in the lives of these students.
We decided that we wanted to grow in the area of spending time with students outside of class and we’ve found ourselves better connected already by doing so this weekend by the time class began today. Praise God!
It’s the student’s last week before outreach, which often prevents a well-focused group, but, since we’re off to a great start, we anticipate a fruitful week. The activities planned so far, for outside of class with students include: soccer, a special dinner Tuesday night, craft night on Wednesday, a breakfast Wednesday morning, and a Christmas fair next Sunday afternoon!
Answered Prayer:
On an earlier Blog post, we mentioned that this trip was going to stretch us financially but that we were trusting God to provide for us. As it turns out (we were informed just moments ago) this base is now able to provide for our trip a little more than they had originally anticipated. Finances they did not have before just came through and they have chosen to help compensate for more our expenses. Thank you Jesus and thank you for your continued prayers for us!
With love,
Dan & Me
so glad to hear that you are being received better than you expected. God does always provide at always the right time. Looking forward to hearing how the rest of the week turns out!
