One of the greatest things on our heart is reaching the 'unreached'. What we distinguish as the unreached are the people groups all over the world that have never heard of the grace, forgiveness, and life available through Jesus Christ. It's hard to believe that in this day in age there could be many groups like this, but currently there are over 3000 with each containing anywhere between a few hundred to a few million. It's even more sobering to think that there are over 5000 Bible-believing churches in this world for every 1 unreached people group. Even more humbling, there is currently approximately one Muslim-focused missionary for every 2,000,000 Muslims! This really hits home when we read Some of Jesus' last words on this earth in Matthew 28:19-20,
"Go and make disciples of ALL NATIONS"
Some argue, "How could God be so unjust to say that those who don't come to know Him in this life will not be with Him in the next!??"
Is god not just though.. He has commanded EVERY person that has come to know Him to share it with those who have yet to know Him!!
This is why we are here in Africa right now. We have the conviction that God has not simply suggested that we all reach out the the nations, He has commanded it. Not that we believe every Believer must go to an unreached people, but that each one of us take up some means to reach out to them at they might know. For us, we feel this means to actually go to them. For you, maybe it is reaching out to those in your location that don't know, or helping others go to them in other places. Either way, God has called us all to be his justice around the world that all may know!
