1st Tibetan Comes To The Lord In Dharamsala!

Dharamsala, India is not like most third world little towns. Even in places like Phnom Pehn, Cambodia; Bangkok, Thailand; and Beijing, China there are many para-Church groups on the ground reaching out to the Lost. Up with the Tibetans in Northern India there is almost no sign of any Christian activity. It is almost like it was forgotten or overseen. In the past 8 years there have only been a handful who have attempted to bring light to this very dark region which lies in the most unreached state of all of India. In those 8 years the total number of known Tibetan Buddhist converts totals a gigantic number of ZERO. Many would blame this on the Tibetan Buddhist environment, which is known to invoke the demonic more than almost any other religion in the world. Whatever it is, it has been a hard soil to plow and many heroes of the faith have put a lot of tears and sweat into this land. With that said, that is why November of 2008 was one of the most joyous times in Dharamsala history! A 24 year old Tibetan refugee confessed his sins and asked Jesus into his heart all on his own accord! It was genuine and so pure! His name is Jigmey and we have been friends with him since the summer on a prior trip. He began to hang out with us all the time and watching our lives very closely. In the end He said he couldn’t deny what God had done in all of us and he was definitely beginning to feel the Lord moving in and around him. One day when talking with him at a coffee shop he said he went off on his own a few nights before and told Jesus he believed in Him and to come into his life. He is currently connected with two of the Christians in the area but needs lots of prayer that his roots will now go deep! Thank you Lord!
